FILTERS
Why did I recommend a media filter?
A thin one-inch pleated filter can choke a system as it loads with dust. A deeper media filter has far more surface area, so it catches more while letting the blower breathe. It also lasts months instead of weeks.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Signs you might notice.
- A filter that looks gray within weeks
- A filter rack that whistles or a filter that is sucked out of shape
- Dust building up quickly on furniture
WHAT WE DO ABOUT IT
We size the filter to the system and check the pressure drop across it with a gauge — not by eye.

Why we recommend media filters (and what they do for your system)
A deeper filter cabinet gives your system real filtration surface area — cleaner air, lower pressure drop, longer filter life, and less strain on the blower.

EPA research shows ozone-producing air-cleaning devices can leave the air worse, not better — reacting with household chemicals to form formaldehyde, other aldehydes, and ultrafine particles.
