GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMPS
How does your geothermal system actually work?
A geothermal heat pump moves heat between your home and the ground through a buried loop of pipe. The ground stays at a much steadier temperature than outdoor air, so the system does not have to work as hard in a heat wave or a cold snap.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Signs you might notice.
- Loop pressure or flow that has changed
- Auxiliary heat running more than it used to
- Equipment approaching 20+ years old
WHAT WE DO ABOUT IT
We service the loop side and the air side, measure performance, and give honest repair-or-replace numbers when the indoor unit nears end of life.
